Completion requirements

In-person courses, open to any person 16 or older, 2-week or 4-week courses (50 or 100 academic hours (1 language class = 1.5 hours); includes culture lectures (and for the longer course other events as well); organised for all levels of proficiency, starting from A1 and finishing with C1. Language classes start at 9 am and finish at 3 pm. Culture lectures are held in the afternoon. These include topics related to Vilnius University, Lithuanian history, the country’s natural habitat, sociolinguistic situation, political realities and calendar festivals. On weekdays, guided tours are organised for Vilnius University, the Old Town, Palace of the Grand Dukes, KGB Museum and other venues. At weekends, there are guided bus tours to famous sites in Lithuania. The course costs €440 or €670 (Scholarships are awarded by the Education Exchanges Support Foundation. Applications can be submitted by students, professors and researchers of foreign institutions of higher education as well as by individuals of Lithuanian descent). Participants receive 3 or 6 ECTS credits upon completion
